Coventry Building Society - Employee magazine

Objective

I was given an exciting project to create an internal magazine for the Coventry Building Society, aptly named ‘ACE Magazine.’ This initiative aimed to foster a stronger sense of community and keep everyone informed about the latest developments within the organisation. The responsibility included designing the layout, and ensuring that each issue was both informative and visually appealing. While the magazine needed to align with the existing brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive corporate identity, I was granted the creative freedom to design a fresh new logo for the magazine. This provided a unique opportunity to blend innovation with tradition, crafting a publication that felt both familiar and exciting to the employees. The directive to adhere to the current  brand standards while having “free rein” on the logo was particularly challenging yet rewarding. It required a careful balance of creativity and consistency, ensuring that the magazine’s design elements harmonised with the established visual identity of Coventry Building Society.
